Nursery Ministry

This ministry provides a pleasant, loving atmosphere for babies, toddlers and pre-school age children. The ministry provides spontaneous and planned play, Bible stories, music, conversation, arts and crafts, nature walks, puzzles and games during the hours of our corporate worship service.

The Ushers at Southside assist in worship by facilitating the orderly movement of the congregation, and the collecting of tithes and offering.

Children's Church

This ministry is responsible for the planning and teaching the Sunday morning Children’s Church, outreach to new and existing Children’s Church members and coordinating and sharing with the Sunday School in other activities for the children of the church.

Our Sunday School Ministry is the basic organization for the Bible teaching program. Its tasks shall be to teach the biblical revelation, reach persons for Christ and church membership, perform the functions of the church within its constituency and to provide and interpret information regarding the work of the church and denomination.

Hospitality Ministry

This ministry is responsible for the operation and cleaning of the church kitchen, the purchase and cooking of food for church activities and meeting requests for food for the homeless and needy, and anything with hospitality for the love of God.

Christian Service

This ministry is responsible for assisting the Pastor with preparation for the ordinance of baptism, assisting the Pastor with benevolent needs that may be called to the attention of the church, caring for the overall church family (including sending flowers/cards for bereavement, sending remembrances for illness/hospitaliza-tion, arranging food for the sick and bereaved of our family, etc.), maintaining and decorating the bulletin board in the church foyer and remembering our graduates.

YOUTH MINISTRY

This ministry is responsible for planning and coordinating all youth activities and events, chaperoning all youth activities and events that are held in the name of the Southside Baptist Church, activities/events other than Sunday School and music, for all teenagers 12-18 years of age and/or in grades 7-12.
